Thomas is trained as a psychologist from the University of Oslo with a specialization in organisational psychology. His key areas of focus are management team development, leadership development and coaching. He has developed and delivered leadership development programs for several international companies.
Thomas is responsible for team development competence in TPG, and works with management team development at all levels. He is also engaged in research on management team effectiveness at the University of Oslo, focusing on how to create high performing management teams. Thomas is a co-author of the book Effective Management Teams (Effektive ledergrupper), which presents the first research-based framework on how to develop an effective management team.
Earlier in his career Thomas was a member of the national cycling team, and he has represented Norway in both European and World Championships. In 2006 he was second in one of the world’s toughest triathlon competitions, the Norseman Xtreme Triathlon. His experience as a top athlete has given him a strong capability to stay focused and to appreciate the value of teamwork.
