David came to TPG in 2011. He has more than twenty years of experience working in Norwegian-based multinational companies in industries ranging from light metals, fertilizers, paper, oil and oil services, to aquaculture. He has held senior leadership positions in law, strategy, country management, procurement and supply management, and held multi-functional responsibility in a group executive management team. Through his career he has lived and worked in five countries.
Originally trained as a commercial lawyer in America and the UK, David also holds an MBA from IMD in Lausanne. He is a trained executive coach and a diploma candidate in analytical psychology in the international program of the CG Jung Institute in Zurich.
A thread throughout David’s career is a concern for how people work in organisations, at all levels – and how this work can create both value and meaning. David lives in Bærum with his wife and three sons. He is curious, enjoys reading and endurance sports – having twice earned a black finisher’s t-shirt in the Norseman extreme triathlon.
