Book launch

An important aspect of developing an effective management team is training. In the words of NIKE - Just do it.

More than 100 people in the auditorium, and lively shopping going on at the back row. Everyone wants to bring a copy back home. Then it all calms down as the publisher starts talking about the book. It’s all very nice, great atmosphere, informal and competent.

Superstars on stage

We wait, and as on a cue-word, the authors enter the stage. We cheer, shout with joy and applaud – the rest of the crowd joins in, and the two authors looks a bit surprised, at bit embarrassed and very happy. We applaud as if they were international superstars, which they are, as the matter of fact. No one has ever written an evidence-based book on effective management teams.

Challenging writing process

Henning starts talking, and has a brilliant introduction as to why he said yes when Thomas called him and introduced him to the idea of writing a book together. Thomas proceeds and the great atmosphere continues. We feel connected with these guys! These two nerds, who gets turned- on management teams, and gets them to join in on research projects. They have written, read, written again, argued, discussed, listened, challenged each other and written again. And are both very sorry for all the evenings and family dinners they missed out on, while writing the book.

The audience enjoys it!

Thomas takes us through the team model, in order for those who only buy it, but not read it, to get on the inside of the topic. After that they make deep dives in two topics of the book. The audience laughs and enjoys the session; they recognize different situations and make some notes. They laugh once more, and suddenly it’s over. Flowers, congratulations and big smiles. A warm and good start to an ice cold Friday. Filled with pride and joy, and being even more curious on the topic, we walk gently back to the office on icy surface.
